Get to know Aaron

Aaron Wilson has two Master’s degrees from Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) and Divinity (MDiv). He has Levels 1 & 2 certifications in the Gottman method for couple therapy and is a PREPARE/ENRICH Premarital Facilitator. He worked for two years at The Center for Marriage & Family Therapy/Counseling and completed a six-week internship at Three Oaks Behavioral Health. He is currently a Provisional-Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He is actively pursuing further education in trauma and addictions. Currently, he is completing an extensive certificate course in Traumatic Stress Studies being taught by leaders in the field, including Bessel van der Kolk and his colleagues. Prior to pursuing his current goal of becoming a professional counselor, Aaron worked for ten years in ministry settings with adolescents and young adults. He has also trained at Bethesda Workshops completing the Breaking the Bonds of Sexual Addiction Training.

Aaron enjoys working with families, couples, individuals, and children. He has experience working with anxiety, grief, lack of self-confidence, couple conflict, blended and/or adoptive families, parenting issues, and trauma. He practices a principled, eclectic approach to his work, drawing from different models of therapy in order to come alongside people to help them experience relief and meet their goals for a better life and better relationships.

Aaron is out of network and provides counseling at a set rate for self-pay clients. Simply call our LifeWorks office to learn more and to schedule an appointment. Aaron also provides therapy alongside his wife, Sarah Linfield, bringing the powerful dynamic of a husband/wife therapy team to the process of growth and change.
