Get to know Mary Beth
My goal is to come alongside clients where they are and create a safe environment for them to establish goals and move forward. I use various counseling approaches that all encourage individuals toward wholeness in relation to God, self, and others. I work with clients of all ages on various issues including trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, etc.
Mary Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 2007. After teaching 2nd grade for one year, she went on to obtain her Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011. She also holds a Master’s in Christian Education from the same institution. After graduation, she worked in private practice for several years before beginning a five-year journey with Palmer Home for Children. There she worked as a children’s therapist. She has special training in Theraplay—a unique therapeutic approach that promotes healthy attachment between child and parent. She is a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
Mary Beth and her husband reside in Mathiston, MS, along with their three children. They are active members of Pinelake Church in Starkville.
